This winter has brought brutally cold weather to a significant part of the US, including a historically powerful nor’easter in February hitting the northeast with heavy snow and blizzard conditions. Our home office in Cleveland, Ohio has received nearly 50 inches of snow this winter, just below our average annual snowfall and it is the first week of March. While the winter has been great for the industry, it exposes gaps and challenges in supply logistics. Building new terminals and bulk plants is Superior's specialty, but in addition, we offer an array of supply solutions.

Existing facility upgrades can make a big difference in your bulk plant performance. Simply adding additional storage can make bridging the gap during harsh winters easier, but Superior can also help you evaluate upgrades to your current facility.

Increasing pump sizes will improve efficiency and flow rate and evaluating preventative maintenance to address issues that come up during high demand are both valuable. In addition, Superior can reimagine the layout at your facility for improved logistics, traffic flow and additional bobtail loading spots. We can also relocate your existing facility, whether to consolidate multiple plants or move to a new location to gain rail access.

Looking for other options to meet additional demand? Contact us:

"We reported in 2024 that Manchester Community Schools had received a $841,939 Clean Bus Energy grant from the state of Michigan that was going to be used toward purchasing three new electric buses and adding three charging stations from a company called Lion Electric, out of Quebec, replacing three old diesel buses. Community members even had the chance to tour the electric buses during a football game. A year and a half later electric buses are out and propane buses are in." ... See MoreSee Less

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), and its state-delegated enforcement authorities, have sought to apply process safety management provisions to certain propane facilities which should be exempted by the retail facility exemption. OSHA has taken action against a number of different propane companies in a variety of states.

While the National Propane Gas Association continues to pursue advocacy to stop OSHA from its illegal enforcement actions taken without proper authority, NPGA may be forced to seek judicial remedies. If you are being investigated by OSHA for issues of process safety management, please click the link for additional details on how to inform NPGA immediately.
